Since autumn 2000 on channel 4 in Finland have been showing once a week an English TV series called "Donít tell your mother." In the leading role in this TV series is a gay man, and the story tells what happens at his life.

              Is this TV-series showing us the realism of our time: we are not all white and heterosexual! Gays and lesbians are not so often shown at TV, even there are quite many. So I could say that this program is fighting for the rights for homosexuals.

              Would it change our opinion about this program if we would know the sex of the producer or the actors?

              Sex and gender really are the main things of "Donít tell your mother" TV-series. At the program men talk almost all the time about sex and sexuality. Is this really what gays are like? Somehow this program makes gays ridiculous: men who only want other menís assholes!
 
              According to this program gays are naiv and seek only for their own pleasure. The program is totally against homosexuals. "Donít tell your mother" repeats the classic stereotype gay men.
