Bachelor of Fine Arts
The core curriculum for dance majors includes history, biomechanics, kinesiology, choreography, technique, music forms and literature, production, and career planning.
The BFA degree emphasize both the studio and performance experience.
In the junior year, majors may select a track or combination of tracks which emphasizes ballet, modern, or jazz dance. This represents the hallmark three areas of emphasis of the University of Arizona. The senior project may be in the areas of performing, choreography, teaching or production.
Students from other fields who have a special interest and demonstrated talent in dance may carry out a minor in dance.
