About the Symposium
Desert Skies Symposium on Research in Music Education
“Symposia are forums that enable participants to share ideas, disseminate research, and stimulate thinking. Symposia are gathering places where individuals form new or develop stronger collegial bonds” (Hamann, 2007).
The Desert Skies Symposium provides a forum in which researchers can share the results of their investigations with K-16 teachers. This biennial event, (held in February of odd numbered years) is attended by K-12 teachers and graduate students, as well as national and international professors.
