Bio

Ms. Barlow holds Master's Degrees in Music Theory and Music Performance from The University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Music in Theory/Composition from West Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona.

Cynthia is the Fine Arts Technical Services Manager , which includes oversight of Technical Support and Network Support for the College. Technical Support entails keeping computers and technology running throughout the College. Network Support includes CFA internet and intranet services - including web, mail, file, list, and distributed databases - and network management - including troubleshooting ethernet and wireless trouble and working with Central IT to resolve issues and plan future implementations..

Music remains her professional hobby, and Cynthia is very active in the Tucson steel pan scene. She plays bass pans (and occasionally others) with Apocalypso, a professional steel band who released their first CD - Miscalculated Dance Moves - in December, 2004.

As a student, she continues to play bass, double seconds, tenor, or whatever pan they'll let her play with the University of Arizona Steel Band, UASteel. Cynthia also works, when she can, as a coach and arranger for the Steel Band program at Canyon View Elementary School.
