Admissions

The College of Fine Arts desires to recruit students who are diverse in background, personal interests, and academic and artistic talents. The College seeks to enroll students who have achieved academic success, have demonstrated personal growth and professional motivation, and present evidence of a strong preparation for study in the fine arts.

Candidates who meet the College’s standards should make significant contributions to the academic, artistic, and student programs both in the College of Fine Arts and the University of Arizona.

Admission to the College of Fine Arts is a two-step process

You must submit separate applications to the University of Arizona and the professional program to which you are applying in the College of Fine Arts.

STEP ONE

Complete an application for admission to the University of Arizona. This application should be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

University of Arizona Application Checklist

A complete University of Arizona application for admission MUST include:

  • Completed paper or online application
  • Official transcript(s). Transcripts* are official only if sealed in an envelope by your counselor or registrar. An official high school transcript must be submitted if you are under age 22 or if otherwise required. Students whose names have changed should ensure their current name is included on all transcripts
  • Official test scores from the SAT Reasoning Test and/or the ACT. To submit your scores electronically, write code 4832 (SAT) or code 0096 (ACT) on the test reservation form. Scores posted on your high school transcript are also acceptable. Applicants may be admitted without test scores, but scores need to be on file to be considered for scholarships or admission to The Honors College and for placement into foundation course work at New Student Orientation.
  • Application processing fee of $25 (Arizona resident) or $65 (non-Arizona resident) or an eligible fee waiver. This fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable

*If you are home-schooled, provide a transcript of course work or portfolio and SAT reasoning or ACT scores.

*If you have earned a GED certificate, provide official GED test results.
